Other Resources

While I am quite a prolific tech enthusiast, I had to learn quite a lot myself. And you can, too! Here are links to other websites that contain useful and well-written information. I have made sure these pages are not malicious, in case you're curious.

Some sites may not be accessible on older web browsers as they require HTTPS authentication and/or a newer browser to display the page correctly.

MacDat - A large-scale website containing many resources for old laptops, computer repair, and tons of documentation. In my opinion this is one of the best projects I've seen with the retro tech community; even drivers for old laptops are getting much harder to find, and this website aims to preserve and document as many older computers as possible.
Macintosh Garden - A trustworthy and reliable site containing a vast amount of software for older Apple computers, from Shufflepuck to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Also they don't charge you a penny if you want larger files. (COUGH COUGH Macintosh Repository...)
i430VX's website - Has some useful files for older/legacy Windows PCs to help them get back online, such as the RoyTam Browser Installer. The file server on their website has other files you might also find useful.
System 7 Today - An entire webpage dedicated to making the most out of your old System 7 Macintosh. It is also accessible using just about anything. Despite the limitations of System 7 and its lack of full PowerPC-native code, it is a great option for machines that do not run OS 8 smoothly.
