About me
Hello! I'm Katheryn, alias 'alectrona6400'. Usually, people call me Kat or Alectrona and I'm okay with either. I'm a 21-year-old transfeminine woman diagnosed with ASD and ADHD; if you're not okay with that, just don't interact with me. I have taken on a lot of interests; Said interests include working on computers both old and new, older video game consoles, mobile devices, cycling, nature, cars, and the odds and ends around town.
I have been into computers for a while. A looong while. Since I was around 7 I was fascinated with anything that involved a screen, an input device, and a box that did the magic. Later on I'd acquire various old computers and put together my experience and skill to become who I am today. Other people have also influenced me, even a late neighbor who had worked on computers in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I have helped many people throughout my life and have made various personal projects that I have succeeded in. Obviously not everything goes perfectly, and that's okay! A lot of my experience actually comes from failure. And learning from that failure and applying a different strategy to something that will then work properly, is a great way to build up your own experience.
I created several sites over the years under different aliases but this one has stuck with me. I have wanted to share my experiences and resources to people who will need them. Information is a very crucial aspect of technology (probably why the acronym "IT" exists... lmao), and without enough information, things are otherwise left neglected without any way to fix whatever issue they have.
Why "alectrona6400"?
Alectrona, the greek goddess of the sun. Sounds a bit like "electronic" which is what I pursue in with computers and all. "6400" being the model of one of my favorite Power Macintosh systems.
